Martinović gave a full-length concert at the “Maritime Silk Road Art Festival” in Zhengzhou, historically one of China’s most important cities. Additionally, Martinović conducted a masterclass at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. During this professional visit, successful contacts were made with significant cultural institutions in China, including the Shanghai Art Festival, the largest arts festival in China, and the aforementioned Shanghai Conservatory of Music, which will result in a new series of concerts starting this summer. On this occasion, Martinović also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the director of the Shanghai Oriental Cultural Center, Mr. Zheng Jinguo, who had already visited Kotor last summer. He will be one of the partners for hosting exceptional, award-winning young Chinese students and musicians who nurture classical and traditional music as well as contemporary Chinese expression. All these concerts will be part of a new series within the KotorArt Don Branko’s Music Days festival, under the title “China Stage.”
